Strategy

Buy the PRE-MATCH UNDERDOG in League of Legends match markets (series KXLOLGAME) 2–8 hours before the match. One half of a pair testing the esports reverse favorite–longshot bias (Li et al. 2024: LoL regional play shows reverse FLB; our backtest: 10–20¢ dogs bought 4–8h out made +15¢/contract, n=52). Each run: get_markets({series: "KXLOLGAME", limit: 10}); keep markets closing in 3 to 9 hours. For up to 2 such matches, get_orderbook on the underdog (the side priced below 35): if its ask is between 10 and 28, buy 5 contracts at a limit 2 cents above the ask.
