Strategy

Trade uncertain World and Politics markets on fresh news: the hypothesis is that these markets lag public information by hours. Each run: get_markets({category: "World", closes_within_hours: 48, limit: 20}) and get_markets({category: "Politics", closes_within_hours: 48, limit: 20}) in one step. Pick up to THREE markets priced between 20 and 80 whose outcome is a matter of public record (an announcement, a vote, a release, a decision) rather than a number nobody knows yet. For each, web_search with recency "day" for the specific event and what has been reported today; distrust anything without an explicit timestamp. Only where a dated report makes one side clearly more likely than its price implies — at least 20 points of edge — buy 5 contracts of that side at the ask. No edge → no trade; say what you searched and what you found. At most 2 orders per run. Sizing is FIXED: every order is exactly 5 contracts (results are compared across a fleet; do not size by conviction). Hold positions to settlement unless the strategy says otherwise. End with a short report: the market you looked at, the numbers you saw, and what you did.

3 stepsSep 6, 17:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-06 17:09 UTC.

World markets closing within 48 hours: none listed. Politics markets included Trump photo count, Suez traffic, Hormuz traffic, and Bab el-Mandeb traffic. Prices of interest were Trump exactly 3 days at 76¢ ask, exactly 4 days at 27¢ ask, Hormuz above 20 at 46¢ ask, and Bab el-Mandeb above 200 at 52¢ ask.

Current searches lacked verified, timestamped settlement data for the Getty photo count and official weekly Suez, Hormuz, or Bab el-Mandeb aggregates. Hormuz reporting indicated unusually low traffic, but did not provide the authoritative completed-period total; therefore no reliable ≥20-point edge was established. I placed no orders.

Portfolio remains unchanged: cash 9,627¢, no positions, no resting orders, realized P&L −373¢. Next run should first check whether these weekly markets have settled or whether official period aggregates are available, then scan newly listed World and Politics markets.

4 stepsSep 6, 14:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-06 14:09 UTC.

Reviewed World and Politics markets closing within 48 hours. No World markets were listed. Politics had the Trump/Getty photo-count market plus Suez Canal and Strait of Hormuz traffic markets.

Current prices included:

  • Trump photographed exactly 3 days: YES ask 80¢ (market detail 79¢)
  • Exactly 4 days: YES ask 24¢
  • Hormuz above 20 transit calls: YES ask 51¢
  • Suez above 300 transit calls: YES ask 78¢

Same-day searches did not provide timestamped, authoritative confirmation of the Getty photo count, Suez traffic total, or Hormuz transit-call total. The search results explicitly lacked a verified Sep. 6 Getty photo and the official traffic aggregates. Therefore no ≥20-point public-record edge was established. I placed no orders.

Portfolio remains: cash 9,627¢, no positions, no resting orders, realized P&L −373¢. Next run should recheck newly listed markets and obtain exact settlement-period aggregates before considering any trade.

4 stepsSep 6, 11:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-06 11:09 UTC.

  • World: no markets closing within 48 hours.
  • Politics: reviewed newly available markets. The only outcome in the 20–80 range was Trump photographed exactly 3 days (YES ask 80¢) and exactly 4 days (YES ask 23¢), closing Sep 7.
  • Settlement: distinct days with a Getty Images editorial photo during Aug 31–Sep 6.
  • Live depth was substantial, but same-day search provided no independent, timestamped public record establishing a ≥20-point edge; it explicitly lacked confirmation of today’s photography.
  • Action: no orders placed. No positions or resting orders.
  • Portfolio unchanged: cash 9,627¢; realized P&L −373¢.

Next run should recheck the photography market’s realized day count and newly listed World/Politics markets, while verifying any apparent edge against the exact Getty settlement definition.

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-05 23:09 UTC.

  • World: no eligible markets closing within 48 hours.
  • Politics: reviewed Truth Social post-count brackets and Trump Getty photo-day markets. The liquid Truth Social brackets were 140–159 at 79/83¢ and 160–179 at 13/18¢. The Getty 4-day bracket was 18/21¢, but no timestamped official schedule/photo evidence established the outcome.
  • Presidential action and nomination markets were outside the 20–80¢ entry range or lacked reliable complete enumeration.

No orders placed: no verifiable ≥20-point edge in a public-record outcome. No positions or resting orders remain. Cash remains 9,627¢; realized P&L remains −373¢.

3 stepsSep 5, 20:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-05 20:09 UTC.

World had no eligible markets closing within 48 hours. Politics markets were primarily Truth Social post-count brackets, presidential actions, Senate nominations, and Getty photo-days.

Current dated search results showed 0 official presidential actions posted Sept. 5, but the “at least 3” action contract was priced only 1–2¢ and outside the strategy’s 20–80¢ range. Truth Social had a dated estimate of 14 posts today but no authoritative week-to-date total. Senate nominations lacked a complete current enumeration, and Getty photo-day coverage was not verifiable. These cumulative and definition-sensitive markets offered no reliable ≥20-point edge.

No orders placed. No positions or resting orders remain. Cash remains 9,627¢; realized P&L remains −373¢.

Next run: rescan World/Politics, prioritize newly listed public-record markets, and verify complete settlement definitions and official timestamps before trading.

4 stepsSep 5, 17:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-05 17:09 UTC.

Scanned World and Politics markets closing within 48 hours. World had no eligible markets. Politics offered Truth Social post-count brackets, presidential actions, Senate nominations, and Getty photo-days.

Dated search results showed two official presidential actions on Sept. 4, but the market’s “at least 3” contract was priced only 1–2¢ and did not meet the 20–80¢ selection range. Truth Social lacked a complete archive count; nominations lacked a complete authoritative enumeration; and Getty photo-days could not be verified from Getty records. These cumulative and definition-sensitive markets therefore offered no reliable ≥20-point edge.

No orders placed. No positions or resting orders remain. Cash remains 9,627¢; realized P&L remains −373¢.

Next run: rescan World/Politics, prioritize newly listed public-record markets, and verify settlement definitions and official source timestamps before trading.

4 stepsSep 5, 14:09 UTC

Run completed in PAPER mode at 2026-09-05 14:09 UTC.

Scanned World and Politics markets closing within 48 hours. World had no eligible markets. Politics contained cumulative Truth Social posts, presidential actions, nominations, and a Getty photo-days market.

Reviewed:

  • Truth Social posts 160–179: YES ask 54¢, with substantial depth. Current dated reporting did not provide a complete Aug. 30–Sept. 5 post count.
  • Getty photo-days exactly 3: YES ask 54¢. Dated reports indicated public activity but did not verify Getty editorial-photo records or distinct-day count.
  • Presidential actions and Senate nominations were priced mostly below 20¢ or had incomplete qualifying-event documentation.

No orders placed. The available evidence did not establish a reliable ≥20-point edge, and cumulative/definition-sensitive markets remain unsafe to infer from news summaries. No positions or resting orders remain. Cash is 9,627¢; realized P&L remains −373¢.

Next run: check newly eligible World/Politics markets, and prioritize markets with authoritative final announcements, votes, or clearly documented records.
