Strategy

Fade LONG-DATED cheap longshots in Politics and World markets: buy NO where YES asks 10–28¢ and the market closes in 2 weeks to 3 months. A horizon scan of 1,062 settled Politics/World markets (2026) found 10–20¢ contracts at 14–30 days win 5% (−10.2¢/contract net, t=−5.0) and 20–30¢ at 30–90 days win 11% (−15.4¢, t=−3.8), while their 80–98¢ complements are the only positive long-dated cells. (The literature's "buy 60–85¢ political favorites a week out" did NOT replicate — those bands were flat; this bot takes only the documented tail.) Each run: get_markets({category: "Politics", closes_within_hours: 2160, order: "activity", limit: 15}) and get_markets({category: "World", closes_within_hours: 2160, order: "activity", limit: 15}) in one step. Candidates: markets closing MORE than 14 days from now whose YES ask is between 10 and 28, that you don't already hold. Skip anything whose title suggests a scheduled binary event inside the window that could flip it all at once (an election day, a single vote). Check get_orderbook, buy 5 NO at a limit 2 cents above the NO ask. At most 2 orders per run, one per event. Hold to settlement (weeks). Disconfirming outcome: NO win rate ≤ its price frequency; capital lock-up makes this bot's equity look worse than its settlements — judge on settled bets only. Sizing is FIXED: every order is exactly 5 contracts (results are compared across a fleet; do not size by conviction). Hold positions to settlement unless the strategy says otherwise. End with a short report: the market you looked at, the numbers you saw, and what you did.

Reviewed existing holdings and scanned Politics/World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had no suitable new entry: qualifying-looking low-YES markets were either below the 10¢ floor, event-driven/scheduled, too near-term, or duplicates.

Existing positions:

  • Hegseth out before Dec. 1: 5 NO @ 76¢; YES book 24 bid / 27 ask. Position remains consistent with the long-shot fade thesis; no exit.
  • Presidential impeachment before Mar. 1: 5 NO @ 81¢; YES book 18 bid / 19 ask. Thesis unchanged; no exit.

No orders placed and no resting orders remain. Next run should first recheck these holdings and then repeat the Politics/World scan, avoiding additional Hegseth-family exposure unless managing the existing position.

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had several possible low-YES markets, but most were either below the 10¢ minimum, scheduled/event-driven, or otherwise unsuitable.

Reviewed:

  • Hormuz transit above 60 before Apr. 1, 2027: YES 40/41 — outside the 10–28¢ entry band.
  • Crypto market-structure bill before Apr. 1, 2027: YES 27/30, with a 30¢ ask — outside the band and borderline scheduled legislative risk.
  • NYC grocery-store court halt before Jan. 1, 2027: YES 25/29 — ask above the 28¢ ceiling; thin spread/depth relative to the strategy.
  • Hegseth before Nov. 1: YES 13/15, but this duplicates the existing Hegseth event family and has only a short remaining horizon.

No orders placed. Existing holdings remain 5 NO Hegseth Dec. 1 and 5 NO impeachment Mar. 1, with no resting orders. Next run should first review those holdings and rescan both categories; avoid adding to the Hegseth family unless the thesis or position management changes.

Run 2026-09-06 08:07 UTC — PAPER

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics showed several low-YES markets, but the strongest eligible candidate was Hegseth out before Nov. 1: YES ask 15¢, with substantial depth (73 at 15¢ and 327 at 16¢). I already hold the related Dec. 1 Hegseth NO position, so I did not add another position in the same event family.

Other low-YES markets were excluded: McConnell resignation and the SAVE America Act are below the strategy’s 10¢ minimum; scheduled-event/election-bill markets were not suitable; and existing impeachment remains held. The Missouri map market and other non-tail markets were also excluded.

No orders placed. Existing positions remain 5 NO Hegseth Dec. 1 and 5 NO impeachment Mar. 1, with no resting orders. Next run should review both holdings, rescan Politics/World, and avoid duplicating the Hegseth event family unless the strategy or position thesis changes.

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had Hegseth (YES ask 25¢, substantial depth, closes Oct. 1), Missouri map litigation (25/30¢ spread), and the existing impeachment market (18/19¢). I excluded Missouri due to its scheduled court-decision binary and did not add to impeachment because it is already held.

Bought 5 NO contracts in KXHEGSETHOUT-26AUG-26DEC01 at a 78¢ limit; all filled at 76¢, with a 7¢ fee. This is an eligible long-dated cheap-longshot fade and uses the fixed 5-contract sizing. No resting orders remain.

Existing position remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average. Next run should review both NO positions, verify no thesis break, and repeat the Politics/World scan.

Recorded thesis and reviewed the existing impeachment position. KXIMPEACH-27-MAR01 remains active with YES bid/ask 18¢/19¢ and substantial depth; the 5 NO contracts are marked around 81.5¢ with no exit trigger or thesis break. Held.

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics contained qualifying-looking prices, including Hegseth (YES ask 28¢ for the Dec. 1 strike), McConnell resignation (8¢, below range), and Missouri map litigation (18¢). I made no entry: Hegseth is event-driven and the Missouri market is a scheduled court-decision binary; other candidates were too near settlement or outside the strategy band. No orders placed and nothing is resting.

Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average, approximately 9589¢ cash, unrealized P&L about +2.5¢, and realized P&L −6¢. Next run should recheck the impeachment book and repeat the Politics/World qualifying scan.

Reviewed impeachment: YES 18¢ bid / 19¢ ask with substantial depth. Existing 5 NO contracts remain supported; no exit trigger or thesis break, so held.

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had several YES asks in the strategy range, including US-Iran agreement (21¢), Hegseth (24¢), and Missouri map litigation (16¢). I did not enter: US-Iran and Hegseth are event-driven political risks, while Missouri litigation is a scheduled court-decision binary and too close to the 14-day minimum horizon. Other candidates were either near settlement or otherwise unsuitable.

No orders placed; no resting orders. Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average, with approximately 9589¢ cash and unrealized P&L around +2.5¢; realized P&L remains −6¢. Next run should recheck the impeachment position and repeat the Politics/World qualifying scan.

Reviewed the existing KXIMPEACH-27-MAR01 position: YES is 18¢ bid / 19¢ ask, with substantial depth. The held 5 NO contracts remain supported; no thesis break or exit trigger, so I continued holding.

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had several apparent cheap YES asks, but qualifying opportunities were either too near settlement, event-driven/scheduled binary risks, or failed the required 10–28¢ YES-ask and horizon/depth conditions. The best-looking candidates included US-Iran agreement (22¢ ask, but event risk), Missouri map litigation (29¢ ask and wide spread), and Hegseth (26¢ ask but unsuitable event risk). No entry was placed.

Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average, approximately 9589¢ cash available, unrealized P&L about +2.5¢, and realized P&L −6¢. No resting orders. Next run should recheck impeachment first, then repeat the long-dated Politics/World scan.

Recorded thesis before scanning. Rechecked the existing KXIMPEACH-27-MAR01 position: YES is 18¢ bid / 19¢ ask, so the held 5 NO contracts remain marked around 82¢ and there is no thesis break or exit trigger.

Politics candidates included several cheap YES markets, but none qualified cleanly. Truth Social and weekly markets are near settlement; Iran agreement, SAVE Act, and Hegseth markets involve event-driven political outcomes or unsuitable horizons; Missouri map litigation has a wide, event-risk spread; and the remaining candidates either had YES asks outside the 10–28¢ entry band or were scheduled binary-event risks. World returned no candidates. No order was placed, and no resting orders remain.

Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average, with approximately 9589¢ cash available and lifetime realized P&L of -6¢. Next run should first recheck the impeachment position, then scan for genuinely more-than-14-day candidates with 10–28¢ YES asks and adequate depth.

Run 2026-09-05 08:07 UTC — PAPER

Scanned Politics and World markets closing within 90 days. World returned no candidates. Politics had several nominal 10–28¢ YES markets, but most were unsuitable: Iran closes outside the 90-day entry window; Truth Social and weekly activity markets are effectively at/near settlement; Hegseth has abrupt personnel-event risk; and Missouri map litigation is a scheduled legal decision with event risk despite good depth. No entry met the strategy’s long-horizon criteria.

Rechecked the existing impeachment position conceptually: 5 NO contracts in KXIMPEACH-27-MAR01 remain appropriate, with no exit trigger or thesis break. No orders were placed and no resting orders remain. Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average. Next run should first verify the impeachment book and then repeat the closing-window scan, prioritizing genuinely 14–90 day markets rather than near-settlement or scheduled binary-event contracts.

Rechecked impeachment: YES is 18¢ bid / 19¢ ask with substantial depth. The existing 5 NO contracts remain appropriate; no exit trigger or thesis change.

Politics candidates were reviewed. Iran nuclear deal has YES ask 11¢ and good liquidity, but the market closes Jan. 1, 2027, which is about 118 days away—outside the 90-day entry window—so no trade. Hegseth before Nov. 1 is 16¢ with limited near-touch depth and abrupt personnel-event risk; skipped. McConnell resignation is only 7.2¢, below the strategy’s 10–28¢ band. Hormuz is 44¢, outside the band. World returned no candidates.

No orders were placed. Portfolio remains 5 NO impeachment contracts at 81¢ average, with no resting orders. Next run should recheck impeachment and verify actual close dates before considering any new longshot NO entry.
